Let's Get Acquainted
I have had the good fortune of being able to put my thoughts together in different forms of writing for many years. That skill has served me well in my professional life. I completed my Bachelor's in psychology with minors in biology and English. I completed a master's degree in clinical psychology and ultimately ended my education with a doctorate in educational studies.
I have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of careers, including community-based work that provided assistance to homeless adults, families, and youth. Realizing that community-based work often involves politics, and understanding that sometimes being too honest is not compatible with political environments, I left the arena while still in one piece. I took a break for two years and did home repairs. At the recommendation of an ex partner, I began working in the public school system, where I have found a purpose that brings many headaches AND great joy. I have also taught at the college level for over 25 years.
Having fulfilled many of my goals educationally and professionally, I now have the time to fulfill a longstanding desire to write things from the heart. I hope you will read what will I bring to the table, and enjoy the journey with me.
